Value Of Friendship

What does friendship means to you ? 'Friend in need' is a friend indeed ? Friend is someone whom you look for when you need a favour ? Do people get together for a common interest or objective and when there is no more of it, everyone went their separate ways and do not keep in contact ?

I came to know that a close friend of mine got married. The news does not came from the person concerned but from someone else. Married to whom, when, i do not have the slightest clue at all. Neither do i want to probe further since the intention is clear.

A little bit of history, this friend and i used to hang out in a group for quite a long time. Due to predictable circumstances and events, our group split up and everyone went their separate ways. Our contact lessen and meet-up is restricted to special occasions. This friend of mine is always engaged when i tried to arrange a meet-up.

Friends are suppose to share happiness and woes right ? I always feel that good friends should share details and should not have become strangers even if they had not met up for a long period of time. However, it seems that it's just wishful thinking on my part. Friends even kept secret from each other when they are hanging out together.

I am not particularly surprise or upset. Rather, my reply was "Really ? I had no idea" when i heard the news. I guess i am already immune to all this nonsense. This is not the first incident and i am damn sick of it. As the saying goes: "Let sleeping dog lies". Tell me what you want me to know and if it doesn't concern me, it ain't my business......
